Product Features of a 20kA Surge Protector

The ETU5-T2-20 20kA surge protector combines high-energy MOV technology (MOV and GDT in N-PE versions) with a pluggable, keyed design, built for safe installation and easy maintenance. Each device meets IEC/EN 61643-11 for low-voltage surge protective devices.

Type 2 / Class II protection: a reliable type 2 surge protection device for lightning-induced surges and switching overvoltages.
High discharge capacity: In 10kA and Imax 20kA (8/20μs) per mode (L-N and N-PE), making it a dependable surge protection 20ka solution.
Keyed N-PE module design: prevents incorrect replacement while improving installation safety and maintenance convenience.
Pluggable cartridge: faulty modules can be swapped without replacing the whole base.
Visual status indication: green = OK, red = defect (L-N); yellow marks the N-PE module.
Optional remote signaling: the “S” versions add a remote contact terminal (11-12-14) for disconnection information.

Install the SPD downstream of the main breaker F1 and protect it with back-up fuse F2 (max. 125A gL/gG). Connect the PE terminal to the earth bar with a 4–35mm² conductor.
