This 40kA surge arrester combines high discharge capacity with installation and maintenance features designed for panel builders and electrical contractors. It offers dependable surge protection 40kA (Imax, 8/20μs) per protection mode, and is built as a type 2 surge arrester 40kA unit for distribution boards.

Type 2 / Class II protection: In 20kA and Imax 40kA (8/20μs) for both L-N and N-PE modes.

The 40kA surge arrester is built on a 35mm DIN rail. Width is 18mm per module, so 1P to 4P versions measure 18mm, 36mm, 54mm and 72mm. A pluggable surge arrester class 2 cartridge can be replaced quickly when the status indicator turns red.
